Why financing matters on cabinetry work
Cabinetry is usually the largest single line in a kitchen budget. Industry cost breakdowns generally place cabinets and their installation at roughly a quarter to a third of a full kitchen remodel, and a full remodel in the Clovis area commonly starts in the mid twenty thousands. For a lot of households that is not a number that comes out of savings in one piece, and the practical result is that people either delay the work for years or scope it down to something that does not actually solve the problem.
Financing changes that calculation. It lets you build the kitchen that fixes the layout rather than the one that fits this month's cash position, and it lets you specify plywood boxes and dovetailed drawers rather than trimming the specification to hit a number.
How it works with us
Free in-home consultation
We measure, discuss scope, and give you a realistic budget range before any financing conversation happens. There is no point discussing payments before you know the number.
Written quote
You get a fixed written quote following the field measure, with a written lead time. That quote is what any financing is based on.
Options walkthrough
Your estimator walks you through the financing options currently available, including terms and what pre-qualification involves.
Your decision
Financing is entirely optional. Plenty of our clients pay directly, and the quote is the same either way.
What to ask about
- Whether pre-qualification affects your credit, since many pre-qualification checks are soft and do not
- The term length available and what the monthly figure looks like across each one
- Whether any promotional or deferred interest period applies, and precisely what happens at the end of it
- Whether there is an early payoff penalty
- What the total cost of borrowing works out to across the full term, not just the monthly payment
We will answer all of that plainly during the consultation. Financing is a genuinely useful tool on a project this size, and it is also a credit product, so the terms deserve the same scrutiny you would give the cabinetry specification.
Scope discipline still matters
Financing makes a larger project affordable month to month. It does not make an unnecessary project a good idea. Remodeling magazine's Cost vs. Value research has consistently shown that minor midrange kitchen remodels return close to their full cost at resale nationally, with the Pacific region including California posting the strongest returns of any region, while major remodels recoup a considerably smaller share. If your layout works and only the cabinetry has worn out, we will quote the cabinet replacement rather than the remodel, whether or not you are financing it.
